| About us |
How the name of our barangay got its name are derived from major situations.
1. Geographical Location
2. Biological Abundance
3. What we have and are know for
4. Honor & Tribute to a rich and influencial person |
During the American times, it was noted that the locals in this sitio were in the borrowing trade. They named their little trade as “Come and Borrow.” This type of business became famous in this area that most of the locals entered this kind of trade. Other people especially those who don’t know how to speak English but heard of the trade would reply after being asked where they got the money they had with them, “Cambaro.” So that was how this little sitio became known.
In 1969, as the move for the charter of Mandaue was looming, Mandaue lacked three barangays, Cambaro was then added into the list of registered barangays along with Umapad and Pagsabungan totaling the barangays to 27. |
