About us

How the name of our barangay got its name are derived from major situations.

1. Geographical Location
2. Biological Abundance
3. What we have and are know for
4. Honor & Tribute to a rich and influencial person

Old folks narrate that Casuntingan originated from the root word sunting, a variety of medicinal plant. Sunting was so abundant in the barrio that the old pioneers of the place called it Casuntingan.
