| About us |
How the name of our barangay got its name are derived from major situations.
1. Geographical Location
2. Biological Abundance
3. What we have and are know for
4. Honor & Tribute to a rich and influencial person |
In the olden days there was a part of this barangay that was entirely bare. This place was located near the sea shore. During the low tide, the shore line extended so far that the Mactan channel would look like a river instead of a sea. The shore line was so barren that there was not even a single mangrove standing. Due to this emptiness, they called this area, OPAO. Meaning bare. |
