| About us |
How the name of our barangay got its name are derived from major situations.
1. Geographical Location
2. Biological Abundance
3. What we have and are know for
4. Honor & Tribute to a rich and influencial person |
The name Paknaan given to this barrio is from the word Pana-an in accordance to the tales handed down by the ancestors. The tale refers to a place where a kind of weapon called pana was used by the people as a defense in fighting against the Moros who kept raiding their place every now and then during the Spanish Era. As time wrought changes to the conditions and status of such place, so has the name became Paknaan. |
